Technical Workshops
Technical skills are needed to bring creative visions to life. At Island Station Media Literacy participants become familiar with professional studio equipment and the basic work habits used in production environments. Activities may include safely moving around a studio, properly aiming lights, plugging in cameras or microphones, identifying basic gear, coiling cables, helping with setup and cleanup, and understanding why careful preparation matters. These tasks support practical workforce development by building confidence, focus, sequencing, teamwork, and respect for shared tools and workspaces. An ideal option for the camera-shy.
